DEADLIFTS.
Yup, deadlifts. I know as women we’re often told as don’t lift because you’ll get too bulky (myth) but you shouldn’t listen to that because deadlift is a beautiful way to exercise. The really cool thing about this exercise is that you’ll get lean and when you’re trying to lose weight getting lean is pretty much the ultimate goal. (When I say lean I mean losing the fat but still gaining muscle mass).
So when you do a dead ift you’re putting your entire body to work because this move incorporates your hips, shoulders, and your lower body! WOWZA!
Say if you’re working out but only focusing on your upper body and still have five minutes left complete a set of dead lifts and work out your entire body!
How to do the move:
Standing holding dumbbells in each hand with your arms at your side.
No bend your knees slightly.
Keep your arms straight and knees bent, slowly bend your hips and lower the weights as far down without having to round your back. YOUR BACK SHOULD REMAIN STRAIGHT.
Squeeze your gluts and pull yourself up. Remember to keep your back straight and take your time coming back up.
Complete three sets of 10 reps!
