Things to Put on a Vision Board
Staying on track to keep your goals can be tricky. If you’re anything like us, you forget everything you were planning to do tomorrow the moment your head hits the pillow at night. Sometimes we need reminders about our goals. One such reminder can be a vision board, a board of images that are meant to inspire you and to keep your goals in mind. Be those fitness goals, financial success, or accomplishing some new and exciting endeavor. With that in mind, here are some things that can go on your vision board if you have a mind to make one.
- Fitness accoutrement
If fitness related things inspire you, this could be a thing to put on the board. It could also be any number of things; food you love, exercise equipment you have fun with, places you can go for a nice run. The possibilities are limitless!
- Your ideal body
If you’re looking to change your life and to get back into shape or even just achieve a higher level of fitness, this can absolutely help. A goal like this can be a far-off thing in the distant future (sometimes it will feel that way more than it actually is oddly enough), so it is often good to give yourself daily reminders of it. If you see this image with your goal in mind every morning it might also make you rethink grabbing that ice cream sandwich on your way home from work or whatever your particular vice is.
- Your dream partner
Maybe you want more romance in your life. This can help keep other parts of the vision board in mind so that you continue improving yourself and your life which will increase your appeal to a prospective partner. What people find attractive is, despite what we’re often lead to believe, highly subjective, so make sure that this image is something that you find attractive.
Also, we feel compelled to remind you that looks aren’t everything and as long as there is some attraction to an actual human being there is something to build on. When putting up a picture of a person, more abstract ideas like “intelligence” and “kindness” don’t always translate so… though on the flip side you could use a fictional character who embodies the features of your ideal love interest. Whatever you do, remember that we here at Leaner Creamer are not shallow.
- An achievement you’d like
This is pretty straight forward. It could be a trophy for a weightlifting competition. It could be an award for writing. It could be a fake check written to you with the amount of money you want to get as a bonus at work. It could also be an image related to a more tangible goal itself like completing a sculpture or other work of art or building something with your hands.
Whatever you changes you strive for in your life, remember that wanting them will always be the first step to getting them.
