Healthy Twix-Inspired Iced Coffee

This healthy Twix-inspired iced coffee combines the rich flavors of chocolate, caramel, and almond with the natural sweetness of dates, creating a multi-dimensional experience reminiscent of a Twix bar, offering a satisfying and indulgent treat that's non-dairy and nutritious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee (or strong brewed coffee, chilled)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/8 cup Leaner Creamer mocha creamer
  • 1/8 cup Leaner Creamer caramel creamer
  • 2-3 pitted dates (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (for the cookie flavor)
  • Crushed almond cookies or almond flour for garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 cup hot water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Coffee: If you haven't made cold brew, you can use strong brewed coffee that has been chilled.
  2. Soften the Dates:
    • Soak the pitted dates in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them.
    • Drain the dates and blend them into a smooth paste. You can add a little bit of the soaking water if needed to help blend.
  3. Dissolve the Creamers:
    • In a small bowl, combine Leaner Creamer mocha creamer and Leaner Creamer caramel creamer with 1/4 cup hot water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Mix the Ingredients:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the date paste, dissolved creamers, and almond butter. Stir until well blended.
  5. Fill the Glass: Fill a large glass with ice cubes.
  6. Combine and Stir:
    • Pour the cold brew coffee over the ice.
    • Add the mixed creamer and flavorings.
    • Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Optional: Top with crushed almond cookies or a sprinkle of almond flour for an extra cookie flavor and texture.
    • Stir again if needed and enjoy your healthy Twix-inspired iced coffee!
