Father's Day is coming up, and while we should make sure to treat our fathers like kings everyday, it's a good way to do a little extra something special for the most important guy in our life.
Statistics show dads these days are more likely to be stay-at-home dads than ever before, feel that they spend more time with their family than their dads did with them, and the majority consider being a dad as their #1 priority. They do more housework than ever before, spend more time caring for the children, and feel they are more emotionally engaged with their generation than the generation before them felt.
They were there to teach us how to tie our shoes, help us with our homework, and help us up every time we fell. They saw us at our best--and worst--and loved us all the same. Now that's unconditional love.
This year, Father's Day falls on Sunday, June 18th. Now's your chance to do something to make him feel really special... Write him a poem, buy him that watch that he's been eyeing but would never get himself, or make him a nice dinner while he relaxes. It's the little things that mean the most!
To all the dads out there reading this, we wouldn't be who we are without you! Thanks for everything you do.
