LeanerMe Chocolate Chip Scones
So my family is going through an obsession with scones. It’s scone this and scone that. It’s gotten to the point where my cousins have made a different kind of scone for the past two months. But before this craze ends soon I want you to be a part of it. Join the obsession. C’mon I know you want to bake some scones. They’re easy and quick to make. Below is the recipe that we love the most so far, and just a heads up I am not sorry for introducing you to your new obsession!
What you need:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp Leaner Creamer
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp baking powder
- 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ Cup heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
What you need to do:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400° Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and Leaner Creamer.
Step 3: Add the butter. Use your fingers to work the butter into the flour.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk the heavy cream, eggs, and vanilla extract together. Once you’re done whisking, add these ingredients to your dry bowl (Step 2 bowl). Add the chocolate chips.
Step 5: Mix until the dough is moist.
Step 6: Flour the surface you will be working on.
Step 7: Place the dough, and shape the dough into a circle (8 inch circle that’s ¾ inch thick). Cut the circle into wedges then move each wedge onto the baking sheet with the parchment paper.
Step 8: Brush the tops of the scones with heavy cream.
Step 9: Bake for about 20 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
Step 10: ENJOY!
