Water Challenge
Hey friends hope you’re doing well especially with the holidays wrapping up for now.
Because the holiday season is just finishing up I understand it can be difficult to go back to your healthy habits after the much needed food and drinks.
So I think what we need to do, to keep us in check is a challenge; I’m calling for a water challenge! Now the water challenge is not for everyone because you’re supposed to drink a gallon of water a day, I know DAUNTING AF right? So the total challenge is one gallon of drinking water each day for at least seven days, now the real challenge goes for at least an entire month but honestly I don’t know if I have the will power for an entire day.
Okay, so there aren’t any rules to this challenge, of course you can drink other types of drinks but the goal primarily is to make water your number one drink!
By the way, if you don’t normally drink water DO NOT plan to start drinking a gallon of water a day. TRY TO EASE your way to drinking a gallon, say you don’t normally drink water at all, maybe add a glass of water to your day for about two days then ease your way to two glasses and so on. Make sure to gradually increase your water increments that best fit your needs.
DO NOT DRINK TOO MUCH WATER @ ONE SPECIFIC TIME BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE ACTUAL HEALTH DAMAGE.
So you’re probably thinking “why is water do important?’
Well turns out water is important for our entire well-being.
- Helps maintain healthy blood circulation
- Helps your digestion system
- Helps regulate your body temperature
- Helps reduce headaches
- Helps get rid of toxins
- Improves your energy
Well, how can I tell if I need more water?
- Skin is drier than normal
- Muscles cramps
- Frequent headaches
- Urine is not appearing clear
One of the perks of this challenge is that you’ll actually be drinking a lot more water and eating less because you’ll be filling up with water.
Now at first I wasn’t used to drinking so much water before and I made the mistake of just going head first with this challenge that I became so bloated it was UNCOMFORTABLE TO THE MAX. So don’t be like me, ease yourself into this challenge!
Now below, you’ll see a picture of a gallon of water that I’m drinking. You can use any kind of drinking water, I just bought this gallon at Target, it’s cheap so this challenge isn’t a money guzzler which is awesome! So I broke it into parts to help me pace myself, and you can always write some inspiring words as motivation!
