Hey friends! So over the weekend I did some traveling and I realized it’s a lot harder to stay fit when you’re traveling with a group of people. Especially when you’re visiting a new place and trying to eat all the new food while experiencing all the new places that are a must see. So I have gathered a few tips that will definitely help you continue your fitness program through your trip! The best part about these tips is that they give your trip the flexibility it needs so you can experience and enjoy your vacation!
First thing’s first make sure to exercise on your trip. If you can set apart 30 minutes a day of exercise then you’re set. But most times than not, it’s really hard to do that. So I recommend instead of taking those bus tours, the ones that you hop on and off walk to your locations. This way you see a lot more as you walk, you set the pace, and you’re obviously exercising at a consistent pace because you’re the one doing the walking.
Experience their dining! Wherever you go, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll have excellent cuisine! So why eat at a fast food place? I DON’T UNDERSTAND. Take part of their culture by trying their foods made with fresh ingredients! But if you are going to indulge in some cheat meals make sure they’re not back to back. So don’t ever eat two bad meals in a row because then the mentality usually goes to I’m on vacation, I can have whatever I want. And everything goes downhill.
Sleep! Just because you might be in a different time zone it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be sleeping. Try to get your normal 8 hours of sleep so you can wake up early and fresh. And the more sleep you get the better able you’ll be to complete your tasks of the day.
