Tips: Be a Healthier You!

By Jackeline Soto

So I don’t know about you but I have seen a lot of different diets that promise the exact same thing a healthier you. But all these diets that I’ve look at are about restraining yourself form having that one delicious food that you’ve been craving the entire day. And although you want to lose weight it is about restraint and that's why you should be able to treat yourself whenever you’d like by following rules that you can apply to any day! SO NO EXCUSES!

Don’t drink your calories.

Okay I understand that it’s Saturday night and you’ve been good the entire week then you do you. Drink your alcoholic beverages you deserve it but don’t get too crazy because everything should be in moderation. Now when you walk through your grocery aisles make sure you do not pick up any soda or juices because they are drink that are filled with unnecessary calories and contain no nutritional value. Like seriously have you looked at the back of soda it’s pretty much a can of sugar with no health benefits so stay away! Drink some water instead. Or make some smoothies and you’re probably saying well smoothies are high in sugar and this is true but that’s because smoothies are made from fruits and fruits are filled with natural sugars! And when you make a smoothie you pretty much make it for yourself so if you want one with more protein you can easily make one to fit your needs!

Do not skip meals!

Okay the concept of I skipped lunch every day this week so I should be losing weight does not do any good! Do not skip your meals, when you do you’re practically just starving your body and ruining your metabolism. So instead try to eat small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up and to help you feel full the entire day!

Skip the fried foods!

Skip anything that’s fried. They’re full of trans-fat that can cause so much harm to your body. And I get it sometimes you’re on a budget or sometimes after a very long day you just want something that’s cheap and will make you feel a bit better, trust me I’m the same way. But I try to avoid these foods and you should too. It’s okay to indulge once in a while but on a daily basis that’s a no-no!

At night stay away from sugar and grains!

This one sounds like a no brainer right? Why eat something sugary right before bed because you won’t be able to burn off the calories and your body will naturally store it as fat and we don’t want that. At dinner time you should actually be eating something that’s lighter and will go easy on your stomach and grains like pasta tend to have a lot more calories than what our body needs at night!

And there you have it four tips to implement every day to help you lose weight to help you stay fit!

Hi Nancy! Yay, congrats on losing 11 pounds. I’ve heard about the Whole30 program but have been on the fence about it. I’m happy you got great results! Yay (once again) I really do hope you enjoy Leaner Creamer (I know I do!).

Thanks, for the tip, I’ll try my best to edit my blogs for grammar corrections.

By the way, I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment. You rock! Have a great day! :)

I just placed my order for the ‘leaner creamer’ and I am excited to give it a try! a few months ago I purchased ‘Whole30’ and lost 11 pounds in 30 days. In addition to that I found that I am allergic to dairy and sugar. I enjoy my coffee and creamer (with stevia) in the am and and looking forward to trying your product!

P.S. I believe it would be beneficial to edit your information for grammar corrections. I am not trying to belittle, just to inform you so that you make the best presentation. :)
