Self care is an important topic that is oftentimes overlooked. In today's day and age, we can get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life that we may forget to stop and care for the person who matters most -- you! We fear it is selfish to put the focus on ourselves for a change, when in reality, taking time to recharge our batteries allows us to be better friends, spouses, family members, workers, and parents. So take a weekend to relax and spoil yourself, because you deserve it! You'll be amazed at how refreshed and ready to go you'll feel on Monday! Here are some ideas for what you can do during your self care weekend!
- Watch your favorite movie or binge watch your favorite TV show.
- Watch a stand up comedy show on Netflix or Youtube.
- Visit a museum.
- Make a playlist of all your favorite songs and give it a listen!
- Cuddle. Your pet, your pillow, or your favorite human.
- Grab lunch with a friend.
- Look at yourself in a mirror and say some positive affirmations.
- Go to the beach and relax.
- Sleep in.
- Work on a hobby you love.
- Brew your favorite cup of tea or copy and spend time savoring it.
- Test out a new recipe.
- Organize your closet.
