Hey friends, so we’ve already learned about the benefits of working early in the morning and late in the afternoon so today we’re going to discuss pre- and post- workout snacks. Now you can definitely maximize a workout if you eat the right foods before and after a workout.
5 Great Foods to Eat Before a Workout:
- Yogurt
Yogurt is filled with protein that’s necessary to keep you focus while you work out. And for better muscle recovery Greek yogurt is recommended.
- Eggs Whites
Eating egg whites before a workout is amazing because it helps provide all the energy you need to accomplish your workout. And added bonus because it is a protein it definitely promotes muscle recovery.
- Oatmeal
Before a workout it’s best to carb up and oatmeal is a perfect way to add carbs into your diet. Especially when they’re whole oats because it takes a bit longer to digest them, and it helps keep your blood sugar levels ups delivering the energy you need to complete your workout.
- Bananas
Bananas are filled with potassium which is exactly what your body needs since our bodies have trouble storing potassium for very long. (Eat your banana with yogurt and you’re definitely ready to go for your morning workout!)
