Hey friends, I hope you’re having a wonderful time, and feel like you a part of a winter wonderland! And although it’s freezing outside, I hope this recipe can keep you feeling warm, it’s homemade cinnamon rolls. So it’s obviously a bit high in sugar, but it’s meant to be eaten as a warm treat, so don’t worry too much about it, okay. Enjoy yourself!
What you need:
1 Pound refrigerated dough
4 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
¼ of Abuelita Chocolate
¼ Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tablespoon Water
4 Tablespoons Butter, room temperature
1 Ounce Cream Cheese, room temperature
¼ Cup Abuelita Chocolate (Grated)
What you need to do:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
For the filling:
- Stir the:
4 tablespoons Melted Butter
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
¼ Cup Abuelita Chocolate
Back to the prep:
- Lightly flour your surface.
- Roll out the dough into ¼ inch thick rectangle.
- Spread the filling evenly on the dough.
- Roll the dough.
- Using a knife (preferably a pizza cutter; makes life a bit easier tbh). Cut the roll into 8 even pieces
- Butter a baking dish (8x8 inch) and place the rolls in the dish.
- Bake for 16 to 18 minutes.
For the frosting: (OPTIONAL)
- Whisk:
¼ Cup Powder Sugar
1 Tablespoon Water
¼ Cup Chocolate (Grated)
- Add and whisk using an electrical hand whisk
4 Tablesspoons Butter
1 Ounce Cream Cheese
Add the frosting onto the cinnamon rolls and enjoy!
