How To Recover From A Music Festival
Who doesn't love music festivals? You get to hang out with your favorite people and have a blast listening to music of all types. However, the recovery period afterwards can be intense. We've got all the best tips to make sure you're feeling in tip top shape only 24 hours after a music festival, right here!
1. Get home as quickly as possible.
Postponing getting home is only delaying your misery. You're going to hit traffic, you'll be wallowing in your exhaustion for longer, and you're going to be wishing you got out of there sooner anyways. So the best thing you can do is to get home asap, so you can start the recovery process.
2. R + R.
The best thing you can do for yourself after a festival is to get some much needed rest and relaxation. This means showering, sleeping, putting on a face mask, pouring yourself the hugest glass of tea you can, lighting candles, playing soft music, whatever it is that gets you relaxed and at ease. This is your time to catch up on all the sleep you've lost, and binge-watch Netflix in bed with your dog. No judgement.
3. Hydrate.
Time to get some much needed fluids into your system! You probably neglected to drink enough water, and your body is probably dehydrated. So, make sure you are consistently drinking a liquid like water. Or, if you're really feeling lousy, step it up a notch by drinking something with electrolytes to help you recover even more quickly.
4. Eat.
Certain foods will make you feel better than others. If you binge on an entire pepperoni pizza and expect to feel like a million bucks, you're gunna have a bad time. However, indulging on chicken noodle soup or avocado eggs will give you healthy fats, carbs, and protein that will make you feel better instantly.
