There’s no better way to start the day than with a hearty bowl of oatmeal. Why not make it even healthier and more satisfying than ever before?
This recipe will make 2 servings but can easily be halved, or doubled if you want more! Steelcut oats keep great in the fridge and can be eaten throughout the week for an easy breakfast. Here’s what you need:
½ cup Steelcut organic oats
1 Tbsp Leaner Creamer
¼ cup Pomegranate seeds
1 Blood orange, cut into wedges
1 ½ Cups water
½ Cup Almond milk
Unsweetened coconut shavings
Dark chocolate shavings
Place almond milk and water into a medium pot or saucepan and bring to a boil. Add steelcut oats, reduce to medium heat, and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and become creamy.
Remove from heat and stir in Leaner Creamer until fully dissolved. Let rest for 5 minutes to thicken and cool down. Scoop oatmeal into bowls and top with pomegranate seeds, blood orange wedges, coconut shavings, and dark chocolate shavings. Enjoy!!
