4th of July Fun Activities
Like almost everything in 2020, 4th of July is going to be looking a bit differently this year. That doesn’t mean though that you shouldn’t be breaking out the 4th of July party ideas that you have been planning!
Fun is where the family is, right? Breakaway from those yearly rituals and focus more on the family this year by considering one of these, 4th of July Fun Activities:
1 Throw a Family-Friendly Fourth U-Pick Party Find an open fruit picking farm near you and have a little family fun by handpicking your very own fresh fruits!! When your done, head home and wash up then take those freshly picked fruits to make some delicious desserts. Then take your finished products and enjoy under a lovely blue sky!!
2 Go Camping in Your Backyard Can’t take the family to a real campsite this year? How about a little backyard tent camping instead?! Once your barbecue has died down, take out that tent and those sleeping bags from your garage for a night filled with gazing up at the stars and watching the fireworks!! You can even spook up the night a bit with some bedtime ghost stories.
3 Take a Family Bike Ride Just because your favorite places are closed due to quarantine, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the outdoors!! Gather your immediate family and head out for a joyous bike ride around your neighborhood. You can even step it up by having your own private bike parade, by decorating your bikes with flags, streamers, and ribbons. This bike ride will be sure to work up an appetite before the celebratory barbecue.
4 Whip Up Festive Treats Show your patriotic spirit by whipping up some festive treats!! Try out our fun recipes: Red, White, & Blueberry Cheesecake Popsicles and Mojito Lemonade . To make the Mojito Lemonade more festive try adding in berries.
5 Games + Sports What’s a backyard BBQ without a little fun? Gather up your fave backyard games (ex. stars-and-stripes tic tac toe or tossing red, white, and blue water balloons) or even sport necessities (ex. baseball gloves, soccer ball, football) and have a little competitive fun with your family!! If the outdoors isn’t a go you can always resort to a good game of Go Fish or even a traditional board game.
