Mother’s Day Celebration Idea
Mother’s Day is an annual reminder for us to cherish the relationship we have with our moms. Celebrate the women in our lives that do so much for us without asking for anything in return. Given the circumstances of this year, many of us are celebrating this special day away from the women we love most. Here are some ideas to show how thankful and blessed you are to have them in our lives even if you are far away from them!!
Spread the love on this special with fun, thoughtful, crafty ideas she will surely love:
1 Host a Virtual Happy Hour Everyone loves a good happy hour so why not host one virtually? Just because we are all at home doesn’t mean we need to miss out. To start your Mother’s Day Happy Hour Party, simply log on to Zoom, Skype, or Facetime and then add all your family members to begin the celebration. If you want to be extra festive send out a message to everyone with a list of Mother’s Day-themed recipes that everyone will surely love. From there, the opportunities are endless!! You can catch up with each other, play games, and even do some arts and crafts.
2 Design Her Front Door Nothing says festive, like a well-dressed front door. So why not decorate your mom’s front door for Mother’s Day? It’s a great way to get the whole family collaborating on ideas and being creative together. Once you and the family have gotten an idea of how it will look like, you just need to make sure that you have all the supplies necessary to finish the masterpiece. This can even be done virtually by hopping on a virtual brainstorming session with the family and taking turns with family members to decorate parts of the door. Have fun and go crazy!
3 Learn a New Craft or Skill Moms have always been our #1 supporters in all that we do, so now its time to show her that same level of support. Think of a craft or project your mom has been wanting to try, and gather up all the necessary supplies in time for Mother’s Day. Then spend the day cheering each other on as you learn your new craft or skils: knitting, painting, DIY projects, baking, anything else you decide to choose. Enjoy the new memories you will be unlocking with your mom!
4 Mother Movie Night Although movie nights don’t involve a fancy brunch, you can still enjoy yummy treats as you binge your favorite movies. Decide on a movie that you and your mom have been wanting to watch and then make sure you have all the necessary snacks and drinks to make the night better. Now for those of you who may not be with your mom, don’t worry thanks to Netflix or Amazon Prime you are still able to connect. Netflix Watch Party allows you and your mom to watch the same movie together, but separate, just don’t forget to send your mom the snack and drink list!!
