Can't Resist Dried Fruit Chips

We all crave a sweet snack every once in a while. These two recipes for dried fruit will give you the crunch, the sweet, and the satisfaction you need!

Cinnamon mocha apple chips

Ingredients:

4 apples

1-2 tsp cinnamon

1-2 tsp mocha Leaner Creamer

1 tsp brown sugar

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Core and thinly slice all apples.
  3. Mix the apples in a bowl with cinnamon, mocha Leaner Creamer, and brown sugar.
  4. Line apples flat on a baking sheet greased with cooking spray.
  5. Bake 2-3 hours until the chips are dry yet still a bit soft. Let them cool completely, which will allow them to get a bit crispy, then enjoy!

Nutty banana chips

Ingredients:

3-4 bananas

1 fresh lemon

1 tsp hazelnut Leaner Creamer

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Slice bananas into thin pieces.
  3. Arrange bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Squeeze a bit of lemon juice sprinkle Leaner Creamer on top of each banana slice.
  5. Bake for around 1.5 hours -- or may take a little shorter or longer depending on the thickness of the banana slices.
  6. Let cool and enjoy! These are great by themselves, or tossed into a mix with cashews, almonds, and macadamia nuts to bring out the nutty flavor.
